A pool deck has one job in summer: be safe to walk on with wet feet. Cracked, flaking concrete with sharp spalled patches is not that. Rubber pool deck surfacing bonds a slip-resistant, seamless rubber surface directly over the concrete deck you already have, so the space around your pool grips when it is soaking wet and feels far better under bare feet than worn concrete. There is no tear-out and no re-pour. The colour runs all the way through, the whole deck is 100% hand-troweled, including curves and edges, and most decks are finished in about a day.
Poured rubber is a blend of recycled rubber and colour granules, troweled over your existing deck as one continuous surface. It covers cracked and spalling slabs, flaking patches that shed grit toward the water, stained and faded concrete, and smooth finishes that turn slick the moment they get wet.
What it cannot fix: a deck slab that has badly heaved, sunk, or broken all the way through. That needs attention before any surface goes over it, and we will tell you straight if that is what we find during your free estimate.
The deck is walkable after 24 hours and fully cured after three days. We install from March through September, weather permitting, which covers the stretch of the year the pool is actually open.
