Rubber driveway resurfacing bonds a flexible, seamless rubber surface directly over the concrete or asphalt you already have. You get a driveway that looks new, flexes instead of cracking when the ground shifts, and grips underfoot in January, without the cost, mess, and week of disruption of ripping out the old slab and pouring a new one. It goes right over the top, in about a day.
Poured rubber is a blend of recycled rubber and colour granules, poured and 100% hand-troweled over your existing surface. The colour runs all the way through, so it does not wear off to a grey patch, and if it is ever damaged it can be spot-repaired instead of replaced.
What it covers: hairline and settlement cracks, surface spalling and flaking, pitted and salt-damaged concrete, faded or stained slabs, and slippery smooth-troweled finishes.
What it cannot fix: a slab that has badly heaved, sunk, or broken all the way through. Rubber is a resurfacing system, not a structural repair. Versus ripping out and repouring concrete: replacement means demolition, haul-away, and days of a torn-up driveway, and the new slab will eventually crack in the same climate. Rubber goes over the top in about a day and flexes with the ground instead of fighting it.
Versus new asphalt: asphalt cracks, softens in heat, and needs resealing on a schedule. Rubber stays flexible and is spot-repairable.
Versus sealing or patching: a seal coat hides the look for a season but does not address the surface underneath. Rubber gives you a genuine new surface you are not redoing next year.
