Rubber flexes with the freeze-thaw movement and shifting clay that cause hard surfaces to crack. The rubber itself does not crack from the cold. In the rare case that the slab underneath shifts significantly the surface can be affected, but unlike concrete it is easily spot-repaired rather than torn out.
No. The colour runs all the way through the surface, so it holds up to sun and wear instead of fading like a coating applied on top.
A typical residential install is completed in about 24 hours. Larger or commercial projects can take longer.
You can walk on the surface 24 hours after installation. Give it 3 full days to cure before parking on it or putting anything heavy on it.
